Gilitrutt, developed by Hélène Magnússon, is an exceptional Icelandic plied lace weight yarn crafted from 100% soft Icelandic lambswool. Each fleece is meticulously hand-selected and graded by Hélène following the initial shearing of the Icelandic lambs. Produced in collaboration with trusted partners, this yarn offers unmatched softness and finesse.

Its two-ply construction ensures durability while preserving a delicate hand feel and a subtle halo. Despite its lightweight nature, Gilitrutt delivers the characteristic warmth and lightness of Icelandic wool. Suitable for a range of needle sizes, it is ideal for creating lightweight sweaters, scarves, mittens or whatever is on your mind.

To create an even bigger halo you can perfectly combine it with one thread of Le petit silk & mohair.

• 34 sts on 2,5 mm needles
• 30 sts on 3 mm needles
• 24 sts on 3,5 mm needles

Hélène Magnússonis a leading knitwear designer in Iceland. Born in 1969, she has both the Icelandic and French nationality but was brought up in France.
