Description

The Zipper Sweater is knitted from the top down. The collar is worked in ribbing, then folded and knitted together. The yoke is knitted with raglan increases, first back and forth on circular needles to create the slit for the zipper, then in the round on circular needles. Finally, a placket for the zipper is knitted so that the zipper will also look good from the back after it's sewn in. The zipper is sewn between the two layers of knit—either by hand or by machine.
