Description

100% Tyrolean mountain sheep wool

This 2-ply yarn was produced exclusively for calling sheep from wool from local sheep in South Tyrol. The wool is processed traditionally in the Passeier Valley at the Spinnradl family factory, which has been in existence since 1948. It is spun very softly and still provides protection from wind and weather for outer layers of clothing such as jackets, jumpers and vests.

Spinnradl

Spinnradl is a family-run traditional business from the Passeier Valley in South Tyrol, working with high-quality sheep wool since 1948. It all started when Alois Haller recognized the value of local wool – ever since, the workshop has been spinning, carding, and knitting the old-fashioned way.

Today, his descendants continue the tradition, combining craftsmanship, sustainability, and regional expertise. In their shop in St. Leonhard, you can see and feel the wool and finished products firsthand. Every skein from Spinnradl carries the spirit of Tyrolean craftsmanship.
