Knitting pattern - September Sweater Junior
Knitting pattern - September Sweater Junior
The September Sweater Junior is knitted top down in a fisherman's brioche stitch. First, the back is made by picking up stitches at the neck and then working them in rows with increases on both sides. Next, stitches are picked up for the shoulders, which are worked separately before being joined to form the front. The front and back meet below the armholes and then form the body, which is knitted in the round. Next, the sleeves are picked up around the armholes and worked downwards in the round with decreases. Finally, stitches are picked up around the neckline for the finishing band. This edge is folded over and worked on the inside. The September Sweater Junior therefore requires almost no sewing.
