Inspired by the wild beauty of Scotland's Outer Hebrides, Sian's round yoke features bands of satin stitch patterns reminiscent of the sights of these islands: crashing waves, stone walls separating fields, herds of sturdy sheep, and cleits (small huts made of stacked stones) that adorn the slopes of the neighboring island of St. Kilda.

The slip stitch motifs on the yoke may look complicated, but they are actually quite easy to knit. Only one color is used per round, so you don't have to hold two threads at once. You can choose between two body shapes: a longer A-line or a straight, slightly fitted shape.

The pattern includes tips on how to adapt the design to your style or the materials available, as well as a handy table with bust measurements in different sizes.
